Love is in the Air

It is July. Raya season.

Of course, I received several wedding invitations. No hint of jealousy here (despite me being unmarried). I just loooveee wedding ceremonies. In my opinion, it is not about how pretty you are or how gorgeous your wedding dress is. The wedding ceremonies are just rituals, common customs that are carried out in accordance with one's culture and beliefs. The marriage itself is the beauty. It is about two people, decided to live together through thick and thins.

However, everything depends on each person's view on the matter. I, personally, love weddings. Wait, no. I love the idea of marriage. Not the ceremony where you spent thousands on that particular event. Society now, compare weddings. This is grand, this is not. This looks fancy, that is not. But then again, who are we to judge? You might love grand weddings, spend money thoughtlessly on garments, decorations and cakes. But what about those who prefer simple ceremonies, attended by only those close to the couple. Where's the harm in that?

We cannot push our thoughts on others. If the wedding is not as glam as the one you attended yesterday, who cares? It is an honour in itself that you, YOU, are invited. Just appreaciate the fact and be happy for the love birds. Pray for them as well. Sincerely wish them lucks (since they desperately need them).

Often I heard phrases like 'society sucks', 'society judge too much!'. But hey, who is society? Who made the society up? It is us. We ARE the society. If you think the society judge too much, then stop judging. If you say the society is expecting too much, then yes, you should stop expecting things from others as well. Our mentality form us and we form our mentality by reading good materials.

Enough blabbing, nuff said.
Be good, be nice and be safe.
